About project

Rates and Money is a project initiated by Sammamish Mortgage company with the purpose of building a website for educating US homebuyers in their home buying journey and giving them helpful insights on mortgage rates and other news in the industry.

Context

This is a website design and development project that resulted in building a clean and modern website with a bunch of handy mortgage tools accessible for public use.

Challenge

The customer’s main goal was not just building another web resource with useful financial tools but rather creating better tools, faster, more usable, and more automated. To make it possible, we automated all the processes, applied real-time recalculations based on field entries. As a result, US homebuyers can have a web resource where they can quickly find all the needed information.

Project results

Rates and Money is a completely new project and thus the website was built from scratch with our preliminary branding suggestions. Compared to other similar mortgage and financial calculators, our tools require much fewer clicks from users as they use realistic default parameters (taken from real-life databases) and also perform all the possible calculations without even pressing an action button (where applicable).
